Dr. Sean McMillan is an orthopedic sport medicine specialist, and one of the nation’s few doctors performing reverse total shoulder replacement surgery. He is Fellowship-trained in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
Experience
Dr. Sean McMillan is the Chief Orthopedic at Virtua Mount Holly Hospital, as well as the Virtua Willingboro and Camden campuses. He is the current Fellowship Director for the Virtua Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. McMillan serves as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Virtua-Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in South Jersey, as well as adjunct faculty in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rowan University.
Dr Mc Millan lectures throughout the country, teaching arthroscopic and orthopedic procedures to residents and peers. He previously worked as a team physician within the Boston Red Sox organization during his fellowship, focusing on the AAA Pawtucket Red Sox. He has covered professional, collegiate in high school sports and currently serves as a school physician at Bordentown Regional High School, Florence Township High School, and Holy Cross High School in southern New Jersey.
Dr. McMillan is the current president of the New Jersey Orthopedic Society (NJOS), and is the immediate president of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO).
